Show At the Hardware Gallery
This show is the result of a collaboration between Brian Tait and Gerard Pefung.
There were 2 rules:
You must leave a trace of the previous painting & both have to agree its done.
Sharing a studio space in the Old Market, having backgrounds in street art, mentoring local kids, both make a living solely selling their work…. A colab seemed inevitable.
Constantly working to strive on an international level, this was a chance to create what was in the moment.
There will be food and drinks.
Specialty drink HARDtini
Vegan Friendly

Today i spent most of the day on the internet surfing working on this cultural research... i wasted so much time looking at useless things ended accomplish nothing.... It is amazing how much value something gets once its no longer available.

Creative challenge day one: Superheroes
So for the past 2 years i have focused all my creative spirit on depicting the grand nature of the elephant and can rightfully claim to have it mastered. I am now at the point where drawing/painting an elephant no longer poses a challenge... basically i am moving on from depicting the actual to portraying " the elephant in the room". The first series of "elephants in the room " that i decided to capture was LEADER (those whom you rely on). For that drawing which is also the first one in my creative challenge i decided to look into hypothetical situations, like What If your superhero was/became....?
So

Working with the kids from the Shelter through http://www.completelykids.org/.
We had a blast. The first session we put paint in ballons and threw it at the wall. It was so much fun, i had paint everywhere, i had to clean up for days. But the smile on their face was so worth it...
The second session they were paired up and had to look at each other for 2 min, then turn around and recreate the portrait without looking... you should see their depiction of me...lol
